How to Storyboard

In this assignment we got into groups, and we were given a few prompts for the first few boxes out of the textbook then had to complete the story and finish the rest of the storyboard boxes. This was our first introduction to storyboards, so we drew the prompt chosen then added the camera shots, angles, movement, and lighting, then had to draw an arrow to where the camera was moving, which we forgot on a few boxes. However, we followed the prompts out of the textbook for half the storyboard, then came up with the rest and illustrated it! I worked with Aleina and we each divided this assignment up and did 2 pages of the storyboard!  An abandoned building, a corridor in an abandoned building, a victim in an abandoned building, a person making a telephone call, police taking a phone call in the control room, and a close-up of a hand opening a door. A criminal fleeing the scene of a crime, a speeding police car, a police officer searching an abandoned building, a dark stairwell, ...

Mise en Scene Chart

mise+en+scene+chart_ - Copy.docx (sharepoint.com)      This is a word link to a Mise en Scene chart, where I had to analyze a movie and discuss and comment on the Setting/Location, Props, Lighting, Costumes/Makeup, Movements, Diegetic Sound, and Framing/ Composition. The movie I chose is called The Menu. I chose this because I had recently watched it and thought it was a well thought out and really good movie to talk about and analyze. The Menu is a movie about a girl named Margot who got on a super fancy and expensive ship with other rich people that took them to an island in the middle of the ocean that has a super fancy restaurant on it. After a few meals everyone started noticing some weird and creepy acts the head chef and chefs were performing. They started killing people and harming the guests. Once Margot caught on, she decided to bring up something personal to the head chef to escape the torturous place.
