    This is a word link to a Mise en Scene chart, where I had to analyze a movie and discuss and comment on the Setting/Location, Props, Lighting, Costumes/Makeup, Movements, Diegetic Sound, and Framing/ Composition. The movie I chose is called The Menu. I chose this because I had recently watched it and thought it was a well thought out and really good movie to talk about and analyze. The Menu is a movie about a girl named Margot who got on a super fancy and expensive ship with other rich people that took them to an island in the middle of the ocean that has a super fancy restaurant on it. After a few meals everyone started noticing some weird and creepy acts the head chef and chefs were performing. They started killing people and harming the guests. Once Margot caught on, she decided to bring up something personal to the head chef to escape the torturous place.

Week 3: Planned Script

  Script:   (Walking + Car scene)   Ivy (voiceover)- “ Everyone says they would want to live forever... I wouldn’t . Not now. Not after everything that happened that night. If I could, I’d die before this, before everyone else has...”   ( B irthday scene)   Everyone (not ivy) - “Surprise! Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you .... ”   (B athroom scene)   Ivy- “Okay Harper the stuff is under the sink ” (say this laughing, giggling, and drunk)   * Harpe r gets out cocaine and snorts it*   Harper- “So Ivy , how are you and Oliver doing. ”   Ivy- “Oh please, you know I've never dated anyone, and it probably won't work with him either, more laughing. ”   *Sister   knocks on door*   Sister- “Hurry up sis grandma is about to say goodnight!”   Ivy- “OKAY! Week 9: Finishing on Adobe

       This week on Adobe I worked to completely finish the editing portion of the film project. Olivia was able to find audios to go with the film, so I imported the audios and placed them where I thought they would be good, and where Olivia had suggested putting them. I also needed to figure out with the audio how to adjust some clips. So, I asked Mr. Z how and just learned how to audio gain on certain clips. I adjusted the sound on the music I imported to be louder in some areas or be quieter in order to hear the original audio at the same time. Also, with sound in the same clip being louder I could either take the eraser tool and snip that portion then adjust the audio gain, or I had Mr. Z show me how to adjust the sound of one part of a clip by dragging points into the sound and adjusting those points, which was smoother than just snipping it. After this, to make the audio smoother I included exponential fades into the audio to either fade the sound in or out. I...
