Week 1: Preproduction, Production, and Postproduction Roles

Casting by: Haylee Boyer (me) and Olivia Courtright

Director- Olivia Courtright, will be holding the camera and making sure she gets the good angles and telling people what to do and what will happen. Haylee Boyer will be helping out as well but will be contributing to it differently. She will be making sure the lighting is good and everyone is in their right spot. She is also better at explaining things so if anyone has questions, they will get a clear answer out of her.

First Assistant Director- Haylee Boyer will be helping out as well but will be contributing to it differently. She will be making sure the lighting is good and everyone is in their right spot. She is also better at explaining things so if anyone has questions, they will get a clear answer out of her. And if Olivia is not here one day she will take over as director. We will be equal throughout the whole project production.

Producers- Haylee Boyer and Olivia Courtright have produced this film, meaning that they made this and will be making it public for everyone to watch.

Cinematographer- Will be both Olivia Courtright and Haylee Boyer and we will just be making sure the scenes are how we like it; the audio is good, and the film is good.

Production Managers- They are responsible for overseeing the projects plans and Haylee Boyer and Olivia Courtright will be doing this job.

Location- Haylee Boyer found the abandoned building but Olivia Courtright will be using her house for filming the birthday party scenes.

Make-up Artist- Haylee Boyer and Olivia Courtright will be making sure everyone has blood in the right spots or their hair and makeup is correct.

Costume Designers- Olivia Courtright and Haylee Boyer will be making sure the clothing is correct and the color and outfit choices match the character. We will be telling the actors what to wear.

Editor- Haylee Boyer will be using and working on the software.

Assistant Editor- Olivia will be helping out by giving her ideas or helping with the software if she needs it.

Music Supervisor- Olivia and Haylee will be talking about what kind of music we will be using but while Haylee is editing Olivia will be finding and putting that music together.

Olivia Courtright and Haylee Boyer (me) both came up with our ideas and who is doing what.

Week 9: Finishing on Adobe

This week on Adobe I worked to completely finish the editing portion of the film project. Olivia was able to find audios to go with the film, so I imported the audios and placed them where I thought they would be good, and where Olivia had suggested putting them. I also needed to figure out with the audio how to adjust some clips. So, I asked Mr. Z how and just learned how to audio gain on certain clips. I adjusted the sound on the music I imported to be louder in some areas or be quieter in order to hear the original audio at the same time. Also, with sound in the same clip being louder I could either take the eraser tool and snip that portion then adjust the audio gain, or I had Mr. Z show me how to adjust the sound of one part of a clip by dragging points into the sound and adjusting those points, which was smoother than just snipping it. After this, to make the audio smoother I included exponential fades into the audio to either fade the sound in or out. I...
