Week 7: Post-Production

This week we finished all of our filming, so we just needed to import the final clips into adobe, then add transitions, audio, and possibly cut out some time from out film. This week I was unfortunately very busy with work and family events; However, after we filmed out last few scenes, I imported them on adobe and put them in the correct place and trimmed a few scenes, so the film was shorter. But even with this, it was still about a 3-minute film. After I did this, I decided I would just leave the trimming, music, and transitions until next week when I could talk everything out with Olivia.

Since Olivia didn't have my flash drive, I went ahead and did the editing from my laptop at home, but since she wasn't editing, I had her find sounds to go over a few clips in the film. I was able to unlink a few clips and delete the audio, so when I sent Olivia a recording of the film on adobe, she was able to observe what clips needed music. Hopefully when we get back, she will have found sounds we needed to complete the project. I will also continue editing, with confirmation from Olivia about decisions, I also need help with a few concepts on adobe from Mr. Z, which I will also talk to him about after break.

Week 9: Finishing on Adobe

This week on Adobe I worked to completely finish the editing portion of the film project. Olivia was able to find audios to go with the film, so I imported the audios and placed them where I thought they would be good, and where Olivia had suggested putting them. I also needed to figure out with the audio how to adjust some clips. So, I asked Mr. Z how and just learned how to audio gain on certain clips. I adjusted the sound on the music I imported to be louder in some areas or be quieter in order to hear the original audio at the same time. Also, with sound in the same clip being louder I could either take the eraser tool and snip that portion then adjust the audio gain, or I had Mr. Z show me how to adjust the sound of one part of a clip by dragging points into the sound and adjusting those points, which was smoother than just snipping it. After this, to make the audio smoother I included exponential fades into the audio to either fade the sound in or out. I...
