Week 8: Post-Production and CCR Production

We finished filming last week! Because of this, I uploaded all of the scenes in order and put them in the correct sequence over break after filming. This made it easy to begin going through and trimming clips, this week since our project was about 3 mins and 30 sec. I ended up meeting with Olivia in class and we were able to watch through the film and find clips we could trim or get rid of. We were able to trim it to around 2 mins and 40 sec. I continued to work on reaching this time limit on adobe and kept trimming, speeding up, or getting rid of unimportant clips. By the end of the week with all of this applied I cut it to 2 mins and 16 sec. Other than trimming, Olivia was able to find audios to include in our film; so, she added them onto her flash drive then transferred it to mine. I also attempted putting our production name and movie title on there as well and started adding few transitions. Next week to finish editing we just have to add audio and put in final transitions and texts/ fonts!

Thinking about CCR's, I was very confused on what/ how to set up the CCR's even though the layout is on Schoology, I at first thought for the CCR's we just had to type everything up on a PowerPoint, Sway, or Prezi answering the questions. I was planning to discuss if this was correct to Mr. Z Friday March 3/22, but I wasn't feeling well, and didn't go to school. Because of this I ended up emailing him asking a few questions on how I need to plan them, and what apps I am recommended to use. His response was that I needed to make a digital presentation and use apps such as Sway, Podcastle, Youtube, Capcut, Prezi, Pixabay, or Adobe. I interpreted this that I only needed to do 1 CCR, so I replied confirming that, but his response was that I didn't seem to understand and said to talk to him in person on Monday after the weekend.

Monday Week 9:

We discussed the CCR's, and I understand what I am supposed to do. I have to do a digital presentation of each one of either a vlog post, interview, podcast, voiceover, movie poster, directors' commentary, etc. However, I have to use each of the few apps given to make these. I can choose what I wanted, but I wanted to make each of my CCR's on a different app and different style of CCR to show more variety. So, I am choosing to do an interview on adobe, a vlog post on YouTube, a podcast on podcastle, and a voiceover of a presentation on Sway!

Week 9: Finishing on Adobe

This week on Adobe I worked to completely finish the editing portion of the film project. Olivia was able to find audios to go with the film, so I imported the audios and placed them where I thought they would be good, and where Olivia had suggested putting them. I also needed to figure out with the audio how to adjust some clips. So, I asked Mr. Z how and just learned how to audio gain on certain clips. I adjusted the sound on the music I imported to be louder in some areas or be quieter in order to hear the original audio at the same time. Also, with sound in the same clip being louder I could either take the eraser tool and snip that portion then adjust the audio gain, or I had Mr. Z show me how to adjust the sound of one part of a clip by dragging points into the sound and adjusting those points, which was smoother than just snipping it. After this, to make the audio smoother I included exponential fades into the audio to either fade the sound in or out. I...
